This extension allows you to see the disassembly for a given function.
Installation
You can download the extension from one of two marketplaces:
You can also install the extension by pressing Ctrl+P and entering:
ext install tristan-gerritsen.asmviewer
Usage
Either run the "View Disassembly" command using the command palette, or right click in the text editor and press "View Disassembly".
Contributing
If you'd like to contribute to this project, these things needs to be added to the extension:
- Fallback to LLDB if GDB is not available
- Override the GDB/LLDB path in settings
- Support for other languages like C, C++, Swift, Zig, etc
- Support for automatic binary detection (Cargo, CMake, Meson, etc)
- Translations for other languages
