Supported Formats

  • DWG
  • DXF

3D formats (glTF, GLB, OBJ, FBX, STL, IFC, STP, STEP, IGS, IGES) are not supported by this extension. Use CAD Viewer instead.

Usage

  1. Open a supported DWG or DXF file in VS Code.
  2. The extension opens the file with the DWG Viewer custom editor.
  3. Use the viewer controls to inspect the drawing.

Notes

  • The editor is read-only.
  • Large drawings may take longer to load depending on file size and machine performance.
