Bring the native Windows Explorer right-click menu directly into VS Code.
Right-click a file or folder in VS Code and open the real Windows context menu for it — the same one you get in File Explorer, including every entry added by other apps you have installed (TortoiseSVN, 7-Zip, "Open with…", "Properties", and so on). No need to leave the editor to reach the tools you already use.

How to use
- Right-click a file or folder in the Explorer, or right-click an editor tab.
- Choose Show Windows Context Menu.
- The native Windows menu pops up at your cursor. Pick any item — it runs exactly as it would in File Explorer.
You can also select multiple files in the Explorer first, then open the menu to act on all of them at once.
Requirements
- Windows desktop only. The command is hidden on macOS and Linux, and the extension does not run in VS Code for the Web.
Good to know
- The menu shown is Windows' classic context menu — the complete one (the same as "Show more options" on Windows 11). This is intentional: it contains all third-party entries, which the compact Windows 11 menu hides.
- When you select files from different folders, the native menu is shown for the items in the first folder only.
