Live bidirectional sync between local .fs files and Onshape FeatureScript Studio elements — no API keys required.
How it works
A companion Chrome extension bridges an open Onshape tab over a local WebSocket. Edits in VS Code push instantly to Onshape; edits in Onshape pull back to your local file. When you reconnect after a period of divergence, you choose which version wins.
Setup
- Install this extension
- Load the companion Chrome extension (unpacked) from the
browser-extension/directory - Open a FeatureScript Studio element in Chrome
- In VS Code:
Cmd+Shift+P→ Onshape FS: Start Browser Bridge - Open or create a
.fsfile, thenCmd+Shift+P→ Onshape FS: Link File to Onshape Element - Paste the Onshape element URL when prompted
Requirements
- Chrome with the companion browser extension loaded
- The Onshape FeatureScript editor must be open and visible in Chrome while syncing
