Monitor the remaining GitHub Copilot premium model quota directly from the VS Code status bar.

Features

Status bar widget showing the remaining premium quota as a percentage (with Copilot icon) and colour-coded urgency levels (critical / warning / normal).
Single click the widget to open a quick-action menu: Refresh, Sign in, Sign out, Open Settings.
Double click the widget to refresh the quota immediately.
Configurable alert thresholds and colours: set your own critical (default 10 %) and warning (default 30 %) percentage thresholds and colours via Settings → Extensions → GitHub Copilot Premium Quota Monitor.
Automatic background refresh (default every 5 minutes, configurable 1–60 min).
Secure authentication via GitHub OAuth Device Flow; token stored in VS Code's Secret Storage (OS keychain).
GitHub Enterprise support: authenticate against GitHub Enterprise Cloud (data residency) or a self-hosted GitHub Enterprise Server instance instead of github.com, by configuring a custom server URL and OAuth Client ID in Settings.
Tooltip with remaining quota %, AI credits, and renewal date.
Multilingual: English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, Russian, Albanian, Turkish, Chinese (Simplified).

Requirements

A GitHub account with an active Copilot subscription is required.

Install the extension.
On first launch you will be prompted to sign in — click Sign in with GitHub.
A panel opens with a one-time code. Copy it, open the GitHub authorisation page, paste the code, and approve.
The status bar widget will start showing your quota.

To authenticate against a GitHub Enterprise deployment instead of github.com, open Settings → Extensions → GitHub Copilot Premium Quota Monitor:

On your GitHub Enterprise Cloud tenant or Server instance, register an OAuth App (organization/enterprise → Developer settings → OAuth Apps) with Device Flow enabled, and note its Client ID.
Set ghcpPremiumQuotaMonitor.gitHubServerType to one of:
- github.com (default) — the standard behaviour against github.com / api.github.com with the extension's built-in Client ID.
- enterprise_cloud — for a Cloud tenant with a dedicated subdomain (e.g. https://contoso.ghe.com). The REST API is automatically resolved from the api. subdomain (e.g. https://api.contoso.ghe.com).
- enterprise_server — for a self-managed instance (e.g. https://github.example.com). The REST API is automatically resolved under /api/v3 (e.g. https://github.example.com/api/v3).
Fill in ghcpPremiumQuotaMonitor.gitHubEnterpriseUrl (the base URL of your tenant/instance) and ghcpPremiumQuotaMonitor.gitHubEnterpriseClientId (from step 1).
If you were already signed in, existing credentials are cleared automatically and you will be prompted to sign in again — click the status bar widget and choose Sign in with GitHub.
