Setup
1. Start the Backend
cd code-review-agent
pip install -r requirements.txt
set ANTHROPIC_API_KEY=your-api-key
python -m review_server.main
2. Install the Extension
- Pack the extension:
vsce package - Install the
.vsixfile in VS Code
Supported Rules
- Naming Conventions — Class names (PascalCase), functions (snake_case), constants (UPPER_SNAKE_CASE)
- Import Organization — Stdlib, third-party, local imports
- Line Length — Under 100 characters (soft limit 120)
- Docstrings — Public functions should have docstrings
- No Print Statements — Use logging instead
- Meaningful Variable Names — Descriptive and clear
