A small VS Code extension that runs in the browser (vscode.dev / github.dev) as well as on the desktop. It does two things.
Features
Highlight every occurrence of a word
Select a word with the mouse (double-click) and every other occurrence is marked in the scrollbar's overview ruler. This restores the occurrence markers the full language service normally provides — handy in vscode.dev, where that service runs in partial mode.
Copy files as LLM context (right-click)
Right-click any file or folder in the Explorer to copy its contents to the clipboard, wrapped for pasting into an LLM. Folders are walked recursively and binary files are skipped:
<context>
<file src="src/app.ts">
…file contents…
</file>
</context>
There are two variants:
- Copy selected files content to clipboard — contents verbatim.
- Copy selected files content to clipboard (compressed) — strips comments from recognised source files (TS/JS, Python, Go, Rust, Java, C/C++, and more) to cut token count, while keeping code, doc comments, and Python docstrings. Data files (JSON, YAML, …) pass through untouched. The result is marked
<context compressed="true">, and a notification reports how much smaller it came out.
