Live colorization for tinting tags (@COLOR[text]@) inside VS Code, with hover-to-change-color.
This is an auxiliary extension for the Python package tinting, which provides terminal colorization using @COLOR[text]@ tags. The extension renders those tags inline in the editor so you can see the colors while you write.
Features
- Live colorization of
@COLOR[text]@tags in Python files. - Hover a tag to see a color swatch and change the color on the spot.
- Toggle colorization on/off from the status bar or the editor toolbar.
- Toggle tag marker visibility (
@COLOR[and]@) to focus on the colored text. - Insert tinting snippets via the command palette.
- Toggle style modifiers (bold, italic, underline, etc.).
- Configurable background opacity so editor selection highlights still show through.
Requirements
Install the Python package (optional, only needed if you also want terminal output):
pip install tinting
