Find the right ECZ-ID Python tool for agents, MCP, APIs, SBOM, DORA, AI provenance, robotics, humanoid readiness and digital counterparties.
Free and local-first. No sign-in. No telemetry. Nothing is installed for you.
Browse all ten local inspection tools, copy the correct installation and CLI commands, open the matching specialist extension, and continue to Developer Gateway, Resolver or TrustOps when appropriate.
- Ten tools, one question. Answer "What do you want to inspect?" and get the matching package.
- Copy, don't guess. The exact
pip installline and the exact--helpline, per tool. - This extension is a signpost, not a scanner. It runs no check of its own and reads none of your code.
Useful for
Useful across many legitimate roles. Commonly used by:
- Python and platform engineers adopting ECZ-ID locally
- CI and automation owners scripting local inspection
- Security, resilience and supply-chain teams choosing the right tool
- Robotics and AI teams looking for the matching route
Relevant when you know you want an ECZ-ID Python tool but not which one, you want the exact install and CLI command without hunting, or you want the matching editor extension for the same subject.
What you can do in under a minute
- Choose a tool — run
ECZ-ID Python Tools: Choose a Tooland answer "What do you want to inspect?". - Copy the commands — the install line and the
--helpline for the matched package. - Continue — open the package, open the matched specialist extension, or route to Developer Gateway, Resolver or TrustOps.

The ten ECZ-ID Python tools
Every tool runs locally on your machine. Every tool inspects, explains and routes — and stops there.
1. ecz-id — foundation
Shared ECZ-ID local inspection and machine-readable integration foundation.
python -m pip install ecz-id
ecz-id --help
Package: https://pypi.org/project/ecz-id/
2. ecz-id-api — APIs and OpenAPI
Inspect API/OpenAPI configuration posture and route API evidence setup.
python -m pip install ecz-id-api
ecz-id-api --help
Package: https://pypi.org/project/ecz-id-api/
3. ecz-id-digital-counterparty — websites, portals and counterparties
Inspect website, portal or digital-counterparty descriptors before operator setup.
python -m pip install ecz-id-digital-counterparty
ecz-id-counterparty --help
Package: https://pypi.org/project/ecz-id-digital-counterparty/
4. ecz-id-agents — agents and KYA declarations
Inspect agent and Know-Your-Agent declaration posture.
python -m pip install ecz-id-agents
ecz-id-agents --help
Package: https://pypi.org/project/ecz-id-agents/
5. ecz-id-mcp — MCP servers
Inspect MCP server configuration posture.
python -m pip install ecz-id-mcp
ecz-id-mcp --help
Package: https://pypi.org/project/ecz-id-mcp/
6. ecz-id-sbom — SBOM and software supply chain
Inspect SBOM evidence posture and route software supply-chain evidence setup.
python -m pip install ecz-id-sbom
ecz-id-sbom --help
Package: https://pypi.org/project/ecz-id-sbom/
7. ecz-id-dora — DORA and operational resilience
Inspect DORA-oriented vendor resilience evidence posture.
python -m pip install ecz-id-dora
ecz-id-dora --help
Package: https://pypi.org/project/ecz-id-dora/
8. ecz-id-robotics — robotics and autonomous systems
Inspect robot deployment descriptors for ECZ-ID configuration posture.
python -m pip install ecz-id-robotics
ecz-id-robotics --help
Package: https://pypi.org/project/ecz-id-robotics/
9. ecz-id-humanoid-insurability-readiness — humanoid readiness
Explain HUMANOID readiness under the correct Industrial, Public-Space or Domestic Robot Passport route.
python -m pip install ecz-id-humanoid-insurability-readiness
ecz-id-humanoid --help
Package: https://pypi.org/project/ecz-id-humanoid-insurability-readiness/
Role boundary. HUMANOID is a controlled profile and readiness route, not a separate Passport. The operating environment determines the appropriate Robot Passport route. HUMANOID requires the Assured tier. ECZ-ID is not an insurer and makes no insurance decision or premium guarantee.
10. ecz-id-ai-provenance — AI artefact provenance
Inspect AI artefact provenance declaration posture.
python -m pip install ecz-id-ai-provenance
ecz-id-ai-provenance --help
Package: https://pypi.org/project/ecz-id-ai-provenance/
Nothing is installed for you
This extension never runs pip, pipx or uv, and it never installs a Python package.
- Copy install command puts the line on your clipboard. You decide whether to run it.
- Run CLI help in terminal sends one command — a bare
<tool> --help— and only after you pick that action and confirm it. It prints help. It installs nothing. - An installation command can never be sent to your terminal by this extension.
- You do not need Python at all to browse the tools or copy the commands.
Matched specialist extensions
Each Python tool has a matching ECZ-ID editor extension covering the same subject. Both listings are linked below.
ecz-id-ai-provenance is matched to ECZ-ID CI/CD Trust, the current specialist that covers release and provenance evidence.

What this extension does not do
- It runs no scan, reads no workspace file, and uploads no source code.
- It installs no Python package and invokes no installer.
- It makes no background network request, and carries no telemetry.
- It does not issue or activate an ECZ-ID, write canonical truth, or create public proof.
- It makes no safety, compliance, certification, insurance or underwriting decision, and it verifies nothing itself.
- It does not replace Resolver proof. A missing public proof reference does not mean a subject is unsound — local policy decides, and you should re-check before reliance.
Install & first use
- In your editor's Extensions view, search for ECZ-ID Python Tools (publisher EcoCitizenz) and install it.
- Open the Command Palette and run
ECZ-ID Python Tools: Choose a Tool. - Answer "What do you want to inspect?", then copy the install and CLI commands for the matched package.
No Python installation is required for steps 1–3.
Free local tools vs supported setup
- Free, local-first: all ten Python tools, the selector, the copyable commands and the routes. No sign-in and no purchase.
- Supported setup (TrustOps): maintained ECZ-ID identity, public proof and lifecycle — relevant when you need a resolver-verifiable result others can check, not just local inspection.
- The Python tools and this extension inspect, explain and route only. They do not issue an ECZ-ID, write canonical truth, create public proof, upload source code, make safety, compliance or insurance decisions, or replace Resolver proof.
