Simple guide for using the Data Connector sidebar in VS Code.

Quick start

1. Open VS Code.
2. Click the Data Connector icon in the Activity Bar.
3. In the Connectors panel:
   • Click Refresh if needed.
   • Use Search connectors to find one quickly.
   • Use Clear connector search to show all again.
4. Expand a connector to work with it.

Typical workflow

1. Pick a connector from the list.
2. If there are no test accounts yet, click Add a test account.
3. Start a local run from the connector row.
4. Open returned items and inspect details.
5. Use Running Connectors to monitor active runs.

Useful actions

• Refresh: reloads the Connectors panel.
• Search connectors: filters by connector name or ID.
• Clear connector search: removes the filter.
• Add a test account: opens the admin page for that connector.

Notes

• Keep both the extension and your local connector setup running while testing.
• If something looks stale, use Refresh first.
