Bridge Bridgetek EAB Tools (eab_tools.exe) to AI agents (VS Code Copilot, Claude, Cursor, Cline…) through the Model Context Protocol (MCP). An agent can convert, validate, compress, inspect and program EVE assets (images, fonts, audio, video, GIF animations, raw pixel buffers, SPI flash). All privileged operations require your explicit confirmation.

Quick Start

  1. Open the Command Palette (Ctrl+Shift+P) and run EAB MCP Server: Input eab_tools.exe.

  2. Select a detected EAB installation or enter the full path to eab_tools.exe.

    • If you leave it empty, you'll be prompted to provide the path when the MCP server starts.
  3. Select Reload Window to start the MCP server.

  4. Ask your agent (e.g. in Copilot Chat) things like:

  • "List the available EAB tools."
  • "Convert image.png to RGB565 for BT82X."
  • "Build a font from my TTF file."
  • "Program this flash image onto the SPI flash."

Requirements

Troubleshooting

  • Server not showing tools → make sure it is enabled, then Reload Window.
  • eab_tools.exe not found → set its path in the settings GUI.
  • Path changed but no effect → Reload Window after saving.
