Analyze and understand your Ren'Py and Godot projects with BranchPy Studio — flowcharts, structure, assets, errors, and more.
BranchPy Studio is the canonical BranchPy product.
v2026.2.4 — companion for BranchPy Studio, with Ren'Py + Godot project detection and Studio handoff.

Control Center sidebar — one click to open your project in BranchPy Studio.

Run analysis, open the Flowchart, compare reports, or launch Doctor directly from VS Code.

All BranchPy Companion commands available in the Command Palette (> Bra).
This extension is a thin companion for editor workflows:
- Open the current project in BranchPy Studio
- Preview read-only outputs in VS Code
- Use editor-native utilities such as logs, compare helpers, and patch tools
BranchPy Studio is required for:
- Full analysis authority
- Auth and licensing management
- Canonical settings and report lifecycle
- Graph and Flowchart rendering
- Canonical product state
Companion scope
Keep in VS Code
- Open in Studio actions
- Read-only report previews
- Logs and diagnostics helpers
- Compare helpers and patch utilities
- Project/workspace helper commands
Managed in Studio
- Login and account flows
- License and entitlement management
- Product and project settings
- Canonical report history and cache
- Graph and Flowchart authoring/rendering
Install and setup
- Install BranchPy Studio.
- Install this extension in VS Code.
- Open your workspace and run Open in Studio.
If Studio is not detected, use manual locate/install guidance from the companion prompts.
Command posture
The companion intentionally exposes thin command surfaces. Commands that would imply product authority are routed to Studio, demoted to preview helpers, or removed from beta-facing usage.
